Signs that a car has been in an accident
The seller may insist the car has never been in an accident, but measurements tell the truth. Here are the signs we look for before you pay a single pound.
01Why isn't a quick look enough?
Modern plumbing and painting work has become able to completely hide the effects of the accident from the naked eye, so the difference is only visible by careful measurement: the thickness of the paint, the matching of the gaps between the parts, and the condition of the chassis from underneath the car.
02Signs worth paying attention to
Any single mark may be normal, but the combination of more than one warrants careful inspection of the structure before purchase.
- A clear difference in paint thickness between adjacent parts
- Uneven spaces between doors and fenders
- Slight difference in color tone under direct lighting
- Loosening traces on fender bolts or hood
- Traces of welding or paste on the chassis and floor of the bag
- Different production dates on glass or lanterns
03How do we check into the center?
We measure the thickness of the paint on each part of the body with a digital measuring device, inspect the chassis from under the car, and then document all the results on the body map in the approved report so that you can accurately know the condition of your car.
